Construction
Two weekends ago we hung the vanity mirrors and the new light fixture.
We also bought the new toilet and the tile for the floor. Each of those tiles are 20 inches across.
Shane has finished framing in the wall for the shower, (along with cutting out the drywall for the faucets for the claw foot tub on the other side.)
He has also finished framing in the wall that will be behind the pedestal sinks. There will be an 8 inch ledge behind the sinks.

We had a member of our ward come over last week. He is a builder/contractor. We had him look over our plans for the bathroom remodel. He loved what we have planned and gave us a few pointers. He liked our vanity mirrors, and loved the idea of the two sinks. He thought the walk in shower was a great touch and gave us suggestions to utilize the space that would be at the end of the clawfoot tub next to the closet. He told us that we would have to go into the cement floor for the drain for the tub, but that was an easy thing to do. Go to Home Depot and rent a cement chipper. He told us when we were ready for the plumbers to come out to give him a call. He would arrange it for us and we'd get a discount. He also gave us some contacts at a few other companies for the shower pan and the closet when we're ready for it.
This past weekend was spent finishing up the framing and chipping out the cement for the plumbing for the tub. That was some loud, hard, dirty work.
Shane had originally thought that he would do the whole floor of the shower area and then we would repour it for the slant down to the shower drain. But after doing that small hole he decided against it. I don't blame him one bit!

We have put the call in to the guy in the ward. Hopefully we can have the plumbers out on Friday. It really feels like once the plumbing is done the rest of the project will go fairly quickly. At least I hope so...
